The Drakkar Noir by Guy Laroche eau de toilette for Men is an aromatic fougere fragrance, which was launched in 1982. The nose behind this elegant and masculine fragrance is Pierre Wargnye. The scent opens with Top notes of rosemary, artemisia, lavender, basil, verbena, bergamot and lemon, moving to middle notes of coriander, carnation, cinnamon, juniper and jasmine, and finally settling on base notes of leather, sandalwood, fir, amber, patchouli, oakmoss, vetiver, and cedar. The fragrance is bottled up in a 100ml flacon in the EDT concentration.
Opening this fragrance are the Top notes of rosemary, artemisia, lavender, basil, lemon verbena, and bergamot. Rosemary forms the minty top note with artemisia offering a bitterish, herbal, strong scent. Basil offers a lively peppery green note with fresh facets coming from lemon.
The heart consists of coriander, carnation, cinnamon, juniper, and jasmine. They offer a spicy floral scent, with clove like undertone with a dash of woody, resinous, clay like backgrounds.
The scent closes with base notes of leather, sandalwood, fir, amber, patchouli, oakmoss, vetiver, and cedar. They offer an accord of oriental woody notes with a milky, soft, creamy tinge, and a sweet, cozy powdery hint.
